Understanding EZ Claim Pay

Through EZ Claim Pay, insured members choose to have UnitedHealthcare pay their Medicare Part B deductible responsibility amount on their behalf when Medicare applies all or part of their deductible to eligible claims.

What you need to know

If an insured member is enrolled in the EZ Claim Pay service:

  • You do not need to bill them directly for their Medicare Part B deductible amount
  • We’ll pay you the appropriate deductible amount for claims we receive

How it works

  • We’ll send payments by check, separate from other claim reimbursement. Please make sure we have your current pay to/mailing address information on record.
  • We’ll include the claim number and other claim-related information with the check so you can correctly apply the EZ Claim Pay payments to the insured member’s responsibility
  • Insured members should inform you that they use the EZ Claim Pay service
  • There is no change to how you submit claims with this service
